Trapese is a Popular Education Collective who offers workshops and training aimed at inspiring and promoting action for changing our world.

TRAPESE stands for ‘Taking Radical Action through Popular Education and Sustainable Everything!’ Our work involves interactive workshops, games, films, trainings, and action/campaign planning sessions. We aim to provide opportunities for children, young people and adults to explore the big issues of our time. Our work focuses on practical steps to inspire, inform and enable action, and how to develop workable alternatives. We are a not for profi t collective motivated by a passionate belief in the power of learning together.

Popular education emerges from a rich history interwoven with social movements across the world

Trapese Course at Findhorn From March 22nd- 26th Trapese will be running a 5 day course at the Findhorn Foundation College, entitled Do it Yourself: Exploring tools for empowerment and grassroots social change, the course will expand ideas from our 2007 book Do it yourself: A handbook for changing our world published by Pluto Press.

Life Despite Capitalism, Radical Economics Seminar October 31st- November 4th 2008. Hosted by the Escanda collective in northern Spain, the seminar will bring together around 100 people from different networks and groups to explore the current economic crisis and crtically examine and debate radical economic alternatives more information click here


Trapese popular education gathering. In January 2008 we held a gathering with around 30 people from a diverse range of groups and projects. The weekend was fun,inspiring and packed full of new ideas for educators. Notes and minutes of the gathering PEGAR
